WEMI/WEMY Christmas Care

WEMI/WEMY/Appleton/Oshkosh/Green Bay (The Family’s) 19th annual ‘Christmas Care’ gift drive wrapped up with more than 2000 brightly decorated Christmas Care shoe box gifts delivered to 35 local crisis programs and emergency rooms for people in need or in crisis this Christmas.

The event has become a favorite for shelter staff and hospital emergency room workers who watch carefully for clients/patients in crisis or lacking adequate clothing and who clearly need a Christmas Care gift.

Area residents were invited to fill a wrapped shoe box with “something warm, something useful, and something fun” for someone in need, to label their gift for the age and gender of the recipient, and to deliver gifts to local collection sites by Dec. 7th.
