WAKW Adds To Afternoon Show

WAKW/Cincinnati (STAR 93.3) announces that Kurt Wallace will join current afternoon host Taylor Morgan for “Afternoons with Taylor & Kurt” beginning Monday, June 1st.

Kurt has been a part of the STAR 93.3 family in various roles for over 11 years. Most recently Kurt has hosted evenings on STAR 93.3. Adding Kurt to afternoons with Taylor is major growth step for the station. Director of Programming Jeff Evans says, “Taylor and Kurt have had a lot of chemistry over the past several years during our fundraisers. Listening to them together during fundraising times it has been obvious that there are the makings of a great show. Adding Kurt to afternoons will compliment Taylor’s talent and will allow for even deeper engagement and more entertainment.”

Taylor has been with STAR 93.3 for over 3 years and has been a part of many successful “team” shows previously in both mainstream and Christian radio over her 30-year career. Taylor says, “I am a huge Kurt Wallace fan! When I first started listening to Christian radio I would drive around and listen to his voice on the Christian Countdown thinking ‘this guy is the Ryan Seacrest of Christian Radio!’ I’m excited to have him join me in afternoons. I can’t wait to not only learn from a veteran in the CCM format, but also adding more depth to the show through laugher, and interaction.”

Kurt is no stranger to being a part of a “team” show either, as part of his 38-year career he has had the opportunity to host shows alongside the likes of talent like Brant Hansen. Kurt says, “Me and Taylor have a relationship much like a big brother and little sister. Our show will be “real.” We will connect with the audience through living out real-life on the air between a single mother of two kids and a married father and grandfather who has lots of real-life wisdom to share. The show will have tons of encouragement and plenty of laughs along the way. Live audience interaction will be a big part of the show too.”

“Afternoons with Taylor & Kurt” will air live from 2 PM – 7 PM Monday through Saturday.
