KSBJ Mentoring New Online Courses

KSBJ/Houston Mentoring announces two new online courses with focus on programming and fundraising, available now at www.ksbjmentoring.org. “With everything we’re trying to stay on top of, we often find ourselves too time-starved to gain knowledge that will take our radio station to the next level,” shares Jon Hull, Sr. Director of Mentoring at KSBJ. “These courses are your opportunity to take that time and learn at your own pace. They also serve as great tools to review what you’re already doing well, and what your next clear steps can be.”

Programming 360º | Things Your Boss Expects You to Know as a PD

This program is designed to provide you with a complete full circle view of the things your boss expects you to know as a Program Director. Whether you’re a new PD or a seasoned veteran, this course will help you determine your priorities, define your job description, and help you lead your team well. You will be challenged to not settle for good, but push on toward what will make you GREAT!

Fundraising | The Secrets to Reaching Your Goals

In 1982 hairstyles were big, the first CD player was sold in Japan, and KSBJ went on the air. When we started the station, we adopted our Fundraising model from other existing Christian stations at that time. Fundraising was traditionally 3-5 days long and considered a “once a year” event. Today, fundraising is not a 5-day event, but a 12-month opportunity to share with your listeners the stories that have resulted from the past year and cast a vision for what their partnership with you through their financial gifts can accomplish in the coming year. Throughout this course, we will help you think differently about fundraising and give you new tools to reach your goals.
