Industry News Bits 7-16-18

Things are starting to change at KGBI/Omaha (100.7 The Fish). Salem announced in May it is selling KGBI/Omaha (100.7 The Fish) to the University of Northwestern-St. Paul.  KGBI PD Dave Crossier tells HisAir.Net his last day on the air as the Fish will be August 5th. Dave says, “Northwest Media will take control on the 6th. We will be there until the end, including FishFest Omaha on July 28th.”

As for Dave’s future plans he says he’s just looking for a 9 – 5 job right now and working on an internet only station… Dave is also available to do some free-lance voice work and is hoping is hoping to pick up a station or two to do some voice tracking.


WAFJ/Augusta received First Place in the “Favorite Local Radio Station” category of the “Cyber City Awards” presented by the Augusta Chronicle newspaper.

“With 54 radio stations impacting the Augusta market, I am very pleased that we have been recognized with this award. I believe it reflects God’s blessings,  the hard work of our team, and our commitment to being a local radio station that is “More than Music”. In 2019 we will celebrate 25 years serving our community. We’re looking forward to seeing what’s next”
