KSBJ Educational Foundation To Close Mentoring Program
After 12 years of service, KSBJ Educational Foundation will close their mentoring program on June 30th, 2019. Thru the years more than 54 domestic and international Christian broadcasters were helped to reach their full potential in mastering the fundamentals of great radio by KSBJ Mentoring.
“We are grateful and humbled to have influenced these broadcasters to become more effective and laser-focused on their respective missions over the past 12 years,” shares Joe Paulo, President and CEO of KSBJ/Houston. “These stations have experienced substantial growth in their impact during our times together. KSBJ celebrates that and will always count it a huge privilege that we were invited in to play a key role in their growth, thereby allowing us to – at least indirectly – reach more people. In order to now position KSBJ for the future and to sharpen our focus on efforts to directly connect people more deeply to God, we close this chapter called KSBJ Mentoring.
My hope is the primary principle of discipleship that has made KSBJ Mentoring so unique will not only carry on but will thrive in a new environment and structure. Talks are currently underway behind the scenes with another group to make this happen and I’m excited about what that can mean for stations who understand the value a mentor can provide.”
Jon Hull, Sr. Director of Mentoring adds, “I have been overjoyed to work with so many great Christian music stations around the world for these last 12 years. I’ve watched God take mentoring best practices and use them to help stations clarify their vision and focus their efforts strategically. I’ll forever be grateful to the KSBJ Board of Directors for having the vision to fund this concept. I look forward to what God is going to do next to grow the ministry of mentoring as we place it in the hands of someone who can shepherd its next season of growth.”
