WOWB/Pace, FL (WOW Radio) did 2 days of the Thanks for Giving Fall Fundraiser last week. These were 2 make up days after the previous fall fundraiser stalled after Hurricane Helene made landfall nearby. WOW Radio crossed the finish line and hit 101%.
Executive Director, Larry Steelman says it’s been 3-4 years since hitting the need and doesn’t have the words to express how he truly feels.
Sonshine 98.5/Perth AUS Table Talk (9a-noon) program host Jo is exiting the station and will relocate back to South Africa with her family.
Jo says she has to follow God’s calling for her family. “After a lot of prayer, reflection and honest conversations, we feel that God is leading us back to South Africa for this next season of our lives. It’s not a decision we’ve taken lightly, but we believe it’s the right one at this point in time. Sonshine has truly been a blessing, and it’s difficult to say just how grateful I am for the experience.”
WGRC/Lewisburg, PA rolled out their new mascot “Judah” at a recent concert, street festival, and open house. People of all ages wanted to meet Judah and get a picture with him. WGRC has already seen the fruit of this outreach endeavor.

KGGN/Hemet, CA (102.5 The Vine) GM Chris Thompson is looking to acquire a studio console.
Chris says, “Growth is great, but its growth on a budget . . . So, if you have something similar to this in storage, in the old prod room, the old board that the last PD bought but you already upgraded, that board you found at a yard sale, and since you are a hoarder, you bought for a rainy day, or your station just got purchased and Nashville is bringing in some new studio equipment, or you have a used board and you are interested to “see what you can get for this,” please let me know.”

Christian radio host, author, speaker, and disability advocate Joni Eareckson Tada was honored with the Pillar Award for History by the Museum of the Bible. Joni received this award for the way her work has impacted history—giving biblical hope and encouragement to people living with disability and transforming perspectives regarding the value and purpose of all people.
“Nothing but the Word of God can answer the problem of evil and suffering in this world,” Joni said. “I know suffering. But not only that, I know the Bible contains answers like comfort, consolation, and guidance. It is a wellspring of grace and favor from God.”

Educational Media Foundation (EMF) filed an $800,000 deal to buy WOGH/Wheeling, WV. Also EMF is purchasing KTPI/Mojave, CA (97.7) for $300,000.
Revival Ministries International is buying Spanish Christian WGES/St Petersburg, FL for $610,000 from Vision Communications Network.
Smile FM is acquiring KSNS (91.5) and KREJ (101.7) in Medicine Lodge, KS, for $150,000 from Florida Public Radio
Bible Baptist Church acquiring KWGD/Dalhart, TX, (88.9) for $1. KWGD is a construction permit for a Class A station.
Estate of Paulino Bernal is donating two Spanish Christian stations KVOZ/Laredo, TX, (890) and KUBR/McAllen, TX (1210) to La Radio Cristiana Network
Epic STL agrees to purchase K270BW/Bellefontaine, MO (101.9 FM) for $570,000 from EMF.
Bott Broadcasting will buy silent translator K217CP/Paris, TX (91.3 FM) for $10,000 from Bible Broadcasting Network to repeat KTAA (90.7).
KFUO-AM/St. Louis, the world’s longest continuously operating Christian radio station, is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2024. Owned by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), KFUO began broadcasting the Gospel on December 14, 1924, and has been a pioneer in religious broadcasting and technological innovation ever since.
Programming and Syndication played a pivotal role in syndicating religious programming, including The Lutheran Hour in the 1930s. Distribution evolved from physical media to satellite and digital platforms. In 1948, KFUO-FM became the first FM station west of the Mississippi River. In the 1990s, KFUO and the LCMS secured a legal victory against the FCC, strengthening religious broadcasters’ rights and influencing regulatory policy.
To honor its centennial, KFUO is featuring special on-air programming, including interviews, archival content, a documentary, and a radio drama adaptation of The Hammer of God by Bo Giertz.

The Bridge of Hope, Inc, owner of 4 FM radio frequencies serving Delaware, Maryland, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and South Jersey, has announced the purchase of its 5th radio station. An application to purchase 89.3 FM, WNJB, licensed to Bridgeton, NJ, and currently owned by WHYY, Inc. has been filed with the Federal Communications Commission.
