Beginning Monday Salem Radio Network’s 24/7 News service will air a week-long special series: “America’s Fight to Preserve Religious Freedom.” The broadcast will focus on threats by secular activists and politicians to drive Christianity and other religions out of the public square in America.
This series will feature interviews with Charles Chaput, Archbishop of Philadelphia (right, pictured with SRN V.P./News & Talk Programming Tom Tradup); Michael Farris, President & CEO of Alliance Defending Freedom; Texas attorney general Ken Paxton; Daily Wire talk host Michael Knowles and David French, senior writer at National Review.
WRVL Lynchburg (The Journey) welcomed just under 10,000 people to Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg for the annual Celebrate America event. Fireworks, bounce houses and the 4-story tall water slide, Slide-zilla, were the featured attractions. The Journey offered prizes, face painting, lawn games and synchronized patriotic music with the fireworks to cap off the night. Journey General Manager Mike Weston said “this is one of the biggest events in Central Virginia and we’re proud to be a part of this annual tradition”.
