The NAB Marconi Awards has started accepting nominations for this years awards. NAB member nominate themselves in categories including “Station of the Year” by market size, “Station of the Year” by format, “Non-commercial Station of the Year”, “Personality of the Year”, and “Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year”. Nominations are taken thru Thursday, May 31st. Check the 2018 rules here. And start the entry process here. Last years “Religious Station of the Year” winner was

The CMB “Station of the Year” submissions are now being accepted. Entries will be taken until June 4, 2018. Eligibility dates for the awards are May 1, 2017 – April 30, 2018. Start the process here.
KSBJ/Houston is seeking a Chief Content Officer. This was the position that Joe Paulo previously held, except it was called VP, Operations. As you know, Joe is the new KSBJ President/GM, replacing longtime GM/Pres Tim McDermott who exited the station in March. If interested check out the listing here.
Joel Weldon and Tom Mgrdichian have teamed up to launch new Christian Music label, Firma Music Group. Tom Mgrdichian is a producer, songwriter and composer with a long history of pop music and movie credits. Joel Weldon is a voice actor heard on ad campaigns and network narration. Their debut release is Firma Collective – Songs for Every Soul – a 7-song album
