Alan Mason has returned to EMF as interim VP Radio after Randy Chase resigned last week. On January 3rd this year Alan “retired” and went on the board. Alan told HisAir, “When Randy resigned I was asked to fill in until they found a replacement for the VP of Radio role, which will become a C level position under a new name. I came off the board at that time because you can’t be board and staff at the same time.” EMF will be interviewing for the Chief Audio Office position now, and that individual will begin looking for a KLOVE PD.
89.9 The Light FM/Melbourne has unveiled a new look now calling itself “The Light”. GM Jarred Gaetz says the station will continue to be the station you “know and love” and the vibrant new look will let more people know about the positive radio you know so well. The Christian Media & Arts Australia (CMAA) Board has decided to cancel the May CONNECT20 Media Conference on the Gold Coast. The CCMA statement says “In light of the fast-changing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic and the various compulsory and recommended isolation measures in place from today (including those affecting international travel), the Board determined that cancelling CONNECT20 was necessary and appropriate, both to protect the health of conference attendees and also in the interests of public health.”
