WKNZ Hires VP Operations and Technology

WKNZ/Harrington, DE (The Bridge 88.7)  has hired Jeff Twilley as Vice President of Operations and Technology. The Bridge of Hope, Inc., operates 3 radio frequencies in Delaware & Maryland. Twilley began his broadcast career over three decades ago in Salisbury, MD and has served as Chief Engineer, Director of Engineering and Director of Technical Services with Delmarva Broadcasting/Steinman Communications for the past 22 years.  He and his wife, Karen, and three children presently live near Lancaster, PA but will be relocating to Southern Delaware this summer.

Twilley will manage the day to day operations of The Bridge, and will oversee The Bridge’s expansion into emerging digital technologies.  He has served on the NAB Radio Technology Committee, is a Society of Broadcast Engineers certified Broadcast Engineer and has built over 50 studios and new tower sites.

“Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to The Bridge”, said Bill Sammons, President and General Manager of The Bridge.  “He put us on the air almost 9 years ago as a volunteer because he believed in our mission and vision.  To have him join our team in a full time position is an answer to prayer.”

The Bridge currently broadcasts on 3 FM frequencies, serving portions of Delaware, Maryland, South Jersey and the Eastern Shore of Virginia.  They are WKNZ, 88.7 FM in Harrington, DE, WNKZ, 92.5 in Pocomoke City, MD and W232DJ in Ocean City, MD.  The station also broadcasts online, via it’s app, and is available on smart speakers such as the Amazon Echo and Google Play.

The Bridge is a non-profit ministry, supported 100% by the local community and listeners.  It is Delmarva’s only local-originating Christian radio station and has been on the air since December 2010.
