WGTS for King and Country Little Drummer Boy Tour
Over 7,500 WGTS/Wash DC listeners came together for a huge Christmas dance party at the “for King and Country Little Drummer Boy” tour stop in Fairfax, VA. The tour featured music from Caitie Hurst, Zach Williams and of course for King and Country. WGTS listeners bought every single ticket more than a month before the concert so the station decided to open up additional seats on the side of the stage and sold over a thousand more tickets. “This was three hours of all-engrossing lights, sound, and incredible musicianship that had everyone entranced,” said WGTS 91.9 Promotions Director Jerry Woods. In addition to the concert WGTS asked listeners to bring toys for the grand finale of their Salvation Army Angel Tree Christmas gift drive. Listeners filled box after box with new toys for kids in the Washington D.C. area. When it was all said and done an entire box truck was stacked with toys that will go to the 12,500 children on the Angel Tree list this Christmas. “We love it when the WGTS family gets together. It’s even more special when we can have fun and support a
great cause. We think it’s incredible that the WGTS listeners are so generous and continue to be the hands and heart of Jesus to our community,” says Community Engagement Director Jitesh Ram.
