WFFH Food for Hungry Families in Middle Tennessee

WFFH/Nashville (94FM The Fish) partnered with local non-profit relief organization ONE GENERATION AWAY on June 13 & 14 with a goal to raise enough funds to fill 12 semi-trucks with food for hungry families in Middle Tennessee.  Through the generous support of local listeners and business partners, over $33,600 was raised in 17 hours.

Kevin Anderson, General Manager of 94 FM The Fish, stated: “Chris and Elaine Whitney, the founders of ONE GENERATION AWAY, are dear and precious friends of ours. To be able to have our team humbly ask the listeners of 94 FM The Fish to help fund their God-ordained mission to “wipe hunger off the face of Middle Tennessee” and to watch our listeners overwhelming response is why we do what we do.  At 94 FM The Fish we value all of our partners but when we asked our long-time partner Nelson Mazda to join us with the One Generation Away Radio-thon we knew the response would be “yes.”  We were also able to invite some new friends like the Smyrna and Mt. Juliet area Zaxby’s Restaurants to come on board.  This was a team effort and a real labor of love as are all great endeavors.”
