WFFH Announces New Afternoon Show – Summers Named PD
WFFH/Nashville (94 FM The Fish) is launching a new afternoon show hosted by Doug Griffin & Jayme Summers. At the same time time Jayme has been officially promoted to PD.
After a recent soft launch of the new Salem Music Network syndicated afternoon show “Heart and Humor with Doug & Jayme,” these two radio veterans are looking forward to providing even more heart and humor to their audience in 2023.
“I’m so excited to welcome Jayme to afternoons,” said Doug Griffin, who has spent 20 of his 30 on-air years with Salem. “I’ve been solo for a season and now I’m really looking forward to sharing life with one amazing mom and wife – and to bring our heart and humor to the listeners.”
“I am really blessed to join Doug in the afternoons. As a listener, I enjoyed listening to him long before I had the privilege of working with him. I am really honored to him join in the studio, and the best part is I get to play radio with my friend,” said Jayme Summers (at left), who has 24 years of radio experience in various platforms. Jayme Summers has also stepped into the role of program director for Salem Music Network and flagship station 94FM The Fish in Nashville.
Previous to joining Salem/Nashville Summers in May 2017, was with WAYR/Brunswick (WAY Radio) as an air talent. Jayme was promoted to Director of Operations at Salem/Nashville & Music Director at Singing News Radio in Jan 2022.
“Doug Griffin has been a staple on-air talent for The Fish Nashville and our national Today’s Christian Music network for 20 plus years. He is our bedrock. Jayme Summers is his new boss and his on-air co-host…what could go wrong? All kidding aside, I know of no two people that are more authentic in how they live their lives,” said Kevin Anderson, general manager of Salem Music Network & the Fish Nashville.
Awesome team…plus Jayme is a great, up-and-coming P.D. star!
