WCLQ Read and Feed Program

WCLQ/Wausau (89Q) collected over 1100 children’s books to help with the Read and Feed Program in Wausau, Wisconsin. Listeners not only brought books for families in need, they also gave cash to help facilitate the delivery.

WCLQ Operations Manager Ryan Bair  (pictured far left) says, “Read and Feed is a national program to strengthen literacy skills among underserved elementary school children and provide meals in a nurturing neighborhood environment. 89Q works with the local program that works within the area school district to identify families in need”
