WBGL Hosts “Yes Day”

WBGL/Champaign host YES DAY, on Monday, September 11, a day set aside for listeners to hear special guests on the air sharing about what it means to say yes to the gift of a relationship with Jesus Christ. Yes Day was devoted to helping answer questions about faith and salvation. Individuals called in and asked questions about sin, God’s love, the Gospel, making a commitment to Jesus, and more during YES DAY.

“We’ve dreamt about doing an event like this for many years,” said WBGL Station Manager Jeff Scott. “We are thrilled that it’s happening! We prayed, and we feel that we invited the right people to communicate Jesus’ love with our listeners and to give people the confidence in knowing their salvation in Christ.”

Individuals spoke with pastors or on-air staff, and shared questions or thoughts anonymously at WBGL.org. This was the first event of its kind in WBGL’s 40 years as a radio station.

“Our whole reason for being here is to to lead people to Christ and nurture believers in their spiritual growth through Christ-centered media.”

The WBGL morning show (Johnathon & Courtney) spent time with pastor, professor, author, and scholar in residence from nonprofit 1517 Chad Bird. Brid answered questions called and texted in from listeners about salvation, eternal life, and life in general.
