Moody Radio Grand Rapids Names New GM

Dodd Morris will serve as station manager of Moody Radio WGNB/Grand Rapids (89.3).

A familiar voice to listeners in Grand Rapids, Morris served as director of operations and the evening host at WCSG/Grand Rapids (91.3 FM) before coming to Moody Radio, and as a weekend anchor and producer of Mission Network News. He is also the founding director of His Kids Radio (now Keys for Kids Radio), where he served from 1988 to 2009.

Morris will succeed Jack Haveman who served in that role since 2007 and announced he will be retiring soon. Jack has had a 40-year career in Christian media, the last 16 years at Moody Radio, his last day is June 30th.

“WGNB has been greatly blessed under Jack’s guidance and direction,” said Morris who earned a bachelor of arts in Speech Communication and Mass Media as well as a master of science in Management. “I am excited to join the Moody Radio team in west Michigan to continue spreading the Gospel and deepening the faith of His followers through compelling content, community involvement and creative forms of delivery.” In addition to leading day-to-day operations of the station, Morris will also cultivate relationships with listeners, churches, pastors and community leaders to help enhance and strengthen Moody Radio’s visibility in West Michigan.
