KTSU/Houston (90.5 The Vibe) is launching a new Worship Live show this Sunday night 7p-9p. The will be hosted by Operations Manager Marcus Sullivan who joined the station in March after exiting mornings at NGEN/Houston. 

Marcus told HisAir, “The company and community both know me from my heart to bring kingdom energy and hope to people. So we talked about it almost from day 1 but I waited until it felt right and we’ve created worship live! This show will be an in worship experience. I aim to play the best worship and up beat kingdom songs along with content that connects to people (only like I know I can).”

Marcus joined NGEN in May 2019 when the station was heard on 91.7 FM before it transitioned to the digital space only in Nov 2021.

WWPR/Bradenton FL (1490 AM) is sold to Happy Gospel Singers Evangelistic Crusade, Inc. for $125,000. The group is led by Southern Gospel promoter Bill Bailey. Seller is Vidify Media and this is the first radio purchase of buyer.

Radio By Grace is selling eleven translators to Family First, led by Linda de Romanett, for $100,000. The Keene, TX-based organization already owns translators in Charlotte, NC, and Columbia, SC, while de Romanett personally owns seven stations under the licensees Bible Clarity and Continuous Bible Talk. All eleven translators in this deal will rebroadcast Christian Preaching station 91.5 KASK in Fairfield, CA.

JL Radio has finalized a $560,000 deal to acquire country station KBEL-FM and CCM KBEL/Idabel, OK (1240) from Dave Smulyan.

KAXL/Bakersfield (Life FM) afternoon co-host Aaron Perlman celebrates 20 years at his “other” job as morning forecaster and anchor at KBAK / KBFX TV. He started there on June 7, 2004 and continues to do afternoons with PD Matt Pelishek at KAXL for the past 11 years.

HisAir NEWS FLASHBACK – June 6, 2017 – Christian Radio is mourning the loss of one its own with the passing of Travis Culver. Through his battle with cancer over the last year God used Travis in so many ways to impact many in our industry.  Many who only knew him on Facebook were touched deeply by his posts through his trial. His faith and courage were to be admired to the very end. Travis was and is a great inspiration to us all. Travis was a former KTSY/Boise PD. He left KTSY in 2014 to launch  “Media for the Rest of Us.”
