KCBI Feed Your Neighbor Outreach

COVID-19 has hit the D-FW area hard. Nearly two million Texans lost their jobs due to the virus. Many are desperate.  Area food pantries say that over two thirds of the thousands of people lining up for assistance have never before needed help. Thanks to the generosity of KCBI/Dallas listeners and partnerships with Mission Arlington, Buckner International, Sonrise New Testament Ministries and Mardel Christian & Education Stores, many families not only got the food they needed, they learned about the love of Jesus.

KCBI listeners donated a total of 10,000 pounds of food and six thousand Bibles, which Mission Arlington distributed to neighbors in need during the month of June.

“KCBI listeners stepped up again to serve our community,” said KCBI General Manager Matt Austin. “Who would have believed they would literally drop off five tons of food!  We’re thankful for the response of so many to help make a difference during this difficult time.”
