KCBI Christmas in July
The Christmas spirit was alive and well as listeners lined up for the KCBI/Dallas Christmas in July – meeting on air personalities, jamming to Christmas tunes and beating the heat with a yummy snow cone! In many cases, summer fun has been on pause due to the coronavirus pandemic. All it took to turn things around was a Kona Ice Truck, amazing church partners and a drive-through meet ‘n’ greet! Cars filled with families lined up in six area church parking lots during the last two weeks of July to meet KCBI’s Rebecca & Burns, Lauree and Jay Allen, grab an ice-cold snow cone and a smile. By the time it was all said and done, nearly 400 cars passed through and almost 1,000 listeners cooled off with a snow cone. They left with a “prince of Peace” goody bag filled with KCBI goodies and a resource card offering a free scripture e-book, an invitation to submit a prayer request and another invitation to find a church through KCBI’s Streaming Churchfinder.
