Jamie & Pastor Tim To Exit KSLT

KSLT/Rapid City morning hosts Jamie & Pastor Tim (Stuen) announce they are leaving the Northwestern Media station. The two who married last year will have their final show on the air tomorrow.

On her exit from the station after 17 years Jamie told HisAir today, “I have been honored that God let me be a voice of encouragement and hope to so many. I am forever grateful!”

Jamie (Knapp) joined KSLT and sister station KTPT/Rapid City (97.9 The Point) in 2006, when Bethesda owned the station as afternoon host. She eventually became Music Director, Production Director. and was promoted to Program Director in Sept 2017.

Jamie adds, “When you feel the season of change happening and you don’t move with it, it can become a great hindrance, but if you obey and “follow the cloud”, your greatest blessings lay ahead. After 17 years for me, almost 7 for Tim, my husband and I have made the decision to move on from the KSLT Morning Show to enjoy our marriage, lead our family, and to oversee the church that God is so graciously growing (Rock Point Church).

KSLT PD Alan Bonde had this to say, “Jamie is a powerhouse on-air. Always ready to connect with her listeners and make them feel valued and treasured all while having a laugh or two. When listening to her, you instantly feel how much she truly cares about you and wants you to know Jesus. Behind the scenes as Program Director, her dedication to make sure KSLT was running smoothly and efficiently was unmatched. She would often work long hours to make sure things were done and was on call in case something went wrong. Pastor Tim is a powerhouse in his own right. The way he can minister to people and bring thoughts, ideas, and teachings in the Bible into a new perspective always had listeners totally enveloped in what he was saying. Between Pastor Tim and Jamie, the KSLT Morning Show was the best in KSLT’s 5-state listening area. Full of inspiration, love, and hope. One listener recently said the KSLT Morning Show was like a daily Bible study that she thoroughly enjoyed beginning her day with. Jamie and Pastor Tim are truly amazing and on-fire for the Lord. The staff of 107.1 KSLT are sad to see them go, but we are also beyond excited for them knowing they are doing BIG things for the Kingdom. They are always going to be a part of the KSLT family and we are glad God allowed both Pastor Tim and Jamie’s paths to cross with ours so we could have the wonderful opportunity to become family with them.”
