KNWI/Des Moines tops the the market scoring a 7.9 AQH in the AUG Nielsen ratings.
KNWI Station Manager Mike Prendergast told HisAir today, “All the glory goes to God! Being #1 in Des Moines is a testament to His faithfulness, and we’re humbled to see Him moving across central Iowa. I’m so proud of our Life 107.1 team, who poured their blood, ‘corn sweat’ and tears into their work each day. We were live every day at the Iowa State Fair, collected 2,200 Bibles to put in people’s hands, and showed up in communities all over central Iowa. God is doing big things here, and we’re grateful to be part of it!”

BREAKING: On Line station The Light/Dallas to cease operations.
The Light founder Marcos Rodriguez told HisAir today, Today is our last day with on-air talent for The Light. We will sign off soon and pivot and downsize to an online media company with no streaming audio.The Light launched in March 2025 by former KLTY/Dallas owner Rodriguez to fill a void created with the sale of KLTY to K-LOVE.Inc.
At the time of the of the launch Rodriguiz said, With the absence of a commercial, Christian music radio station in the #1 market DFW, we have a huge opportunity and compelling reason for our team to compete with the iHeart stations”
The original staff included 30 former KLTY employees.
Moody Radio announced a series of six Christmas concerts across five states with one of Christian music’s most celebrated female vocalists, Tasha Layton. This Is Christmas—An Evening with Tasha Layton with special guest Jordan St. Cyr and featuring Jaye King.
“What a joy it is to partner with Tasha,” said Wes Ward, vice president of Moody Global Media. “We are excited to bring this series of concerts to our listeners as we celebrate the birth of our Savior. It’ll be an evening that’s festive, fun and Christ-exalting!”

Each concert will be filled with all the holiday favorites and songs from Layton’s holiday projects, “This Is Christmas” and the GMA Dove Award-nominated “This Is Christmas (Live From Fisher Center),” which have become beloved seasonal classics.

89.9 The Light/Melbourne, AUS PD/Head of Listener Engagement MJ Want announces his exit from the station.
MJ has been involved with TheLight since it began full-time broadcasting in 2012. He started as a weekend announcer and most recently was overseeing the content of the station.
At The Light’s 20 year anniversary MJ stated, “It’s been a privilege to be involved & watch how God has grown the radio station over the past 20 years. Since starting in a small office above a printing press to now one of the largest Christian stations in Australia, God has done a mighty work.”

The KLTY/Dallas morning host Frank Reed “Farewell Coffee Tour” is underway stopping at locations around the metroplex. The stops started last week and will conclude with Franks last day on the air Dec 23rd.
Longtime KLTY morning host Frank Reed announced his retirement on the air Sep 12th. Reed has been with KLTY nearly 31 years with 21 years on the KLTY morning show.
