After 6 1/2 years KCBI/Dallas producer Taylor Standridge says he will exit the station on Nov. 15th.

Taylor joined KCBI in 2016 as Promotions coordinator, then became morning show producer… Standridge was previously producer of Night Light with Andrea at KLTY/Dallas.

At WLAB/Ft Wayne (Star 88.3) Pres/CEO (and afternoon host) Melissa Montana is adding a co-host to the show. Chynna Presley is a graduate of Huntington University and named one of 40 under 40, and earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2007 at the school.
Montana tells HisAir, “It’s been a dream of mine for years to have someone help me in the afternoons on the air because my role has so much going on as a CEO and president. Been waiting for God to provide and she is it.”

“Gospel Traxx” host Walt “Baby” Love has been inducted into The Radio Hall of Fame. The ceremony took place in Chicago yesterday with nearly 300 people in attendance. The Radio Hall of Fame welcomed ten new members. In June 1997, Walt (Rev. Walter Shaw) was ordained in the ministry and is currently an associate minister at First African Methodist Episcopal Church in Los Angeles

Love, has been in the business for over 35 years, and has hosted Gospel Traxx for twenty-seven years.

Results from P1 Media Group’s annual survey of “frequent” or “occasional” listeners to local radio stations that play only Christmas music during the holiday season show that nearly half (48%) believe that Christmas music programming should end on New Year’s Eve, while 24% prefer it to continue until the day after Christmas and 16% prefer it to end on Christmas itself. The survey was conducted last week among 400 listeners age 18-54 in the top 50 radio markets.

As for when stations should start playing music, nearly half (48%) want it to start before Thanksgiving, while 27% and 21% say it should start in early November and mid-November, respectively, while 21% and 24% prefer a start around Thanksgiving. Female listeners are more likely to favor the earlier start than male listeners, who favor it by a margin of 70% to 57% in November.
