Author, radio host, and ministry leader, Joni Eareckson Tada, has been released from the hospital after a 16-day stay caused by double pneumonia.
“Like many of the people we serve who struggle with constant health challenges, I can say with them, ‘God rescued me!’” Tada wrote on a Facebook post. “After 16 days in the hospital struggling with double pneumonia, I am home, happy, healing, and resting.”
The 63rd Annual National Quartet Convention (NQC) is underway and goes through September 30 at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, TN. NQC is Gospel Music’s biggest event of the year and attracts thousands of fans.

Curb Word artist Natalie Grant, a nine-time GRAMMY Award nominee, has released a heartfelt gospel interpretation of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” in collaboration with renowned Gospel Music artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard. Originally penned by Paul Simon and introduced to the world by Simon & Garfunkel in 1970, this timeless song draws inspiration from a classic gospel tune.
“Tasha Cobbs Leonard is one of the greatest voices of our generation,” says Grant. “She has referred to me as a “bridge” before, and I have always prayed that’s exactly what my artistry, and my life, would be. But she has also been building bridges across genres and styles. She’s a barrier breaker. I can’t think of a better person to sing this song with.”
WJNI/Charleston, SC (106.3) has launched a new show with gospel singer and songwriter Desmond Pringle. He will take the helm as the host of “The Desmond Pringle Show,” airing weekday mornings from 10 to 11 am.
Pringle says, “I share inspirational and motivational and scripturally-based commentary, that will always be a part of what I do, but I really want to be impactful in a way that is directly connected to everyday life.”
WCVO/Columbus (104.9 The River) has started the fifth season of he Rivalry right where they left off – on the road. The Rivalry is a weekly podcast throughout the college football season and focused on the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry. Afternoon Co-Host/Production Director Josh Evans and Social Media Director/Morning Show Producer Josh Pollock (pictured) recently made the trip to South Bend to cover the highly-anticipated matchup between Ohio State and Notre Dame.
