Moody Radio Florida welcomes Lawrence (Larry) Bukovey to the Moody Radio Family as Director of Promotions and Church Engagement!

Larry was born and raised in Akron, Ohio and the surrounding areas. While serving as Youth Pastor at a local church, he was led to Lakeland, Florida, to attend Southeastern University, where he graduated with honors with a BA in Psychology.  Over the ensuing decades, Larry worked as a Case Manager and then as a Program Supervisor managing two programs for at-risk youth and their families for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.  He hopes to eventually attend graduate school/seminary as God leads.”

Moody Radio/Florida Station Manager Andrew Leuthold tells HisAir, “When not “on the job” Larry has been performing and teaching improvisational comedy (since 1999) and has been known to dabble in acting (film, TV and local theater).  He has been a huge fan of Moody Bible Institute and Moody Radio long before becoming an employee and is extremely grateful and honored to be a part of the Moody Radio Florida WKES family.  Larry and his wife, Donna, have five children and three grandchildren, and love to spend time with family, friends and exploring all that Florida has to offer.”

KJIL/Meade, KS ended its Fundraiser 8 hours early.

KJIL MD Blake Carter tells HisAir, “Thanks to our listeners helping us get to $150,000 for the Ministry of Great Plains Christian Radio”!

Family Life Radio (FLR) surpassed their goal by 103% for their fall fundraiser held last week.

“This year we have seen many who have had to stop or pause their giving because of how the economy has affected them. So, to see our listeners respond in such a huge way is overwhelming. A big thank you to Vidare Creative for their guidance and help! All glory goes to God,” said Mike Kankelfritz, FLR’s chief broadcast engagement officer.

The fundraiser’s theme was Ignite Hope, which aimed to encourage listeners to support FLR’s life-changing music and ministry so that others can experience a transformational life in Christ. The FLR and IL on air hosts worked with the team from Vidare Creative: Jeff Scott, Dave Kirby, Bill Scott and John Brock.

“Fundraising is never easy. The team at Family Life Radio have worked hard over the last year to connect with and encourage their listeners, and it shows. We’re so thrilled at Vidare to work with amazing people like our friends at Family Life Radio,” said Dave Kirby, chief creative officer for Vidare Creative.
