Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) leaders, staff, ministry partners and friends gathered in Phnom Penh for a groundbreaking and prayer ceremony marking the beginning of construction on a new FEBC Ministry Center for Voice of Love Cambodia. This is an important investment in the future of Gospel ministry in Cambodia and throughout Southeast Asia.
The new facility represents the next phase of a significant expansion of FEBC’s ministry in Cambodia. A new broadcast tower and transmitter, which became operational in mid-2025, now gives FEBC the potential to reach approximately 80 percent of Cambodia’s population by radio. The new Ministry Center will build upon that expanded reach by providing modern studios and production facilities for radio, podcasts, video, streaming and emerging digital platforms.
Pictured – During the groundbreaking ceremony, FEBC leaders and staff gathered at the site to pray over the land, the construction project and, most importantly, the people whose lives will be transformed by the ministry that takes place there.

Radio remains an extraordinarily important part of how we reach people, but today we also have opportunities through streaming, social media, podcasts, video and personal relationships that our founders could never have imagined. This center gives our Cambodia team the tools and space they need to remain close to the listener and share the hope of Jesus Christ for decades to come.”
Construction is expected to take approximately 12 to 15 months.

The FCC has finalized its FY 2026 regulatory fees, with U.S. commercial radio stations facing their first increase after three consecutive years of reductions. Radio World calculates that commercial radio broadcasters will pay approximately $28.7 million in total FCC fees this year.
Most radio fees will increase by roughly 2.5% to 3.3%, depending on station class and population served. FM construction permits will cost $1,025, AM construction permits $585, and FM translators or boosters $255.
Fees are due by September 30, 2026. Noncommercial and nonprofit stations, along with certain other entities, are exempt. The FCC expects to collect approximately $416.1 million in total regulatory fees across all industries it oversees for fiscal 2026.

Salem Media, Inc. today announced the promotions of longtime executives Autumn Marcus and Monica Montijo, strengthening the company’s finance and accounting leadership.
Marcus has been named Senior Vice President, Finance and Strategic Planning, while Montijo has been named Senior Vice President, Controller and Accounting. Both will report directly to Chief Executive Officer David Santrella.
“Salem is entering an important new chapter, and Autumn and Monica will be key members of the leadership team helping us shape it,” said Santrella. “They know Salem and our businesses extremely well, and I have tremendous confidence in both of them and the teams they lead.”
Marcus has served as Salem’s Senior Vice President of Finance and has played an increasingly important role in the company’s financial planning and analysis. In her expanded role, she will oversee financial planning and work closely with Salem’s leadership to align the company’s financial performance with its strategic and operational priorities.
Montijo, previously Salem’s Controller, has extensive experience overseeing the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions. In her new role, she will assume expanded leadership responsibility across Salem’s accounting organization.
Together, Marcus and Montijo will lead Salem’s finance and accounting teams with an increased focus on delivering the analysis and insight needed to support the company’s operating businesses and strategic priorities.
“We want our finance and accounting teams to be strong partners with our operating leaders and help us make better decisions across the business,” Santrella added. “Autumn and Monica have the experience and knowledge of Salem to do exactly that.”
KKLA/Los Angele Assistant Program Director & Assistant Operations Director Jose Corona has passed away. He was with Salem 7 years.
Salem Los Angeles Director of Promotions Darla Kernell tells HisAir, “Once the Salem News Channel was up and running, he joined Sean McConnell’s team to help bring the Dennis Prager and Larry Elder radio shows to TV stations across America. After a year or so, he couldn’t shake the radio juice running through him, so he came back to our side of the Glendale offices. That’s when his time with Salem really took off. He jumped at every opportunity to learn something new or get involved with producing a live radio show. His hard work paid off — in January of this year, JJ was promoted to KKLA’s Assistant Program Director & Assistant Operations Director. He was directly responsible for programming all of KKLA’s on-air content, from client ministry programs to station imaging and on-air talent voice tracks. He also scheduled the Ops team’s in-studio shifts, and if someone called out sick, he was the one who found coverage. His greatest joy outside of work was NASCAR racing. He went to at least one race a year and had his own RV trailer that he’d take to the track for a full weekend of racing. JJ will be deeply missed by all of us who had the chance to work alongside him.”
Carolina Christian Radio Chief Engineer Dale Dee Miller passed away Aug 23. He was 71. Dale spent 30 years at Carolina Christian Radio.

Salem Radio Network has signed an agreement with Charlie Kirk to host a daily three hour talk radio program beginning Monday, October 5th. The show will air live in the Noon to 3pm ET daypart and be available to stations either live or tape delayed. The show will take advantage of Charlie’s unique insights on the breaking news of the day, and help listeners understand what to make of it all.
“I grew up listening to conservative talk radio, so I’m excited to bring a new generation’s voice to the medium and I’m thrilled to work with SRN to do that,” said Charlie. “It’s time to work. The country is in trouble and we have to save it.”
