Lauren Kitchens checks in with HisAir. She has exited WDJC/Birmingham afternoons where she co-hosted with Steven Jenks since June 2022. 

Lauren joined KBMQ/Monroe (88.7 The Cross) to host mornings in June this year.


KSBJ/Houston co-founder Buddy Holiday, will be posthumously inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame this November. Holiday is one of 20 broadcast professionals selected for induction in the Class of 2023. The ceremonies will be held at the Texas Broadcast Museum in Kilgore, Texas.

KSBJ signed on the air 41 years ago, July 8, 1982 with the late Buddy Holiday playing Dallas Holm “Rise Again” as the first song. Holiday, one of Houston’s best known and longest-serving morning radio personalities, ended his morning show on KSBJ July 31, 2001.

Chris Tomlin is celebrating the 21st #1 radio single of his career with the Grammy-nominated track, “Holy Forever.” The song has achieved the top position on multiple charts, including Billboard’s Christian Airplay and AC charts, as well as MediaBase’s Christian AC and Christian Audience charts this week.


The Awakening Foundation announces artist and songwriter, Matthew West, is extending his successful “My Story Your Glory Tour” into the fall season.
