Brian Krause at Focus on the Family tells HisAir they will soon air the 1,000th episode of Adventures in Odyssey. Focus is celebrating with One Grand Party August 2 and 3 at the Focus on the Family headquarters in Colorado Springs. There are 6,000 fans from all over coming to experience the best thing since the Wod-Fam-Choc-Sod. Fans will step into the town of Odyssey, Whit’s End, and McAlister Park as they encounter some of their favorite places and characters from the storied audio drama. Plus, fan-favorite actors will perform an all-new story live on stage.

Adventures in Odyssey, or simply Odyssey, is an Evangelical Christian radio drama and comedy series created and produced by Focus on the Family. Aimed at families with children age 12 and younger, the series first aired in 1987 as a 13-episode pilot called Family Portraits.


Salem Media announced they officially closed on the sale of its Christian Music Stations in Nashville and Honolulu to Educational Media Foundation for $7 million, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

In March this year Salem sold WFFH/Nashville and KAIM/Honolulu to EMF.


Oklahoma based The Gospel Station Music Director Matthew Huddleston tells HisAir is cooling off listeners with Christmas in July all month on their Christmas Channel.

WBNH/Pekin, IL is inviting listeners to it’s appreciation BBQ on Saturday, August 24. Listeners will join in on the station lawn for some burgers, brats, and hot dogs. Also, there will be plenty of fun for the kids, too like a bounce house, bubbles and more.

HisAir NEWS FLASHBACK – July 2, 2019 -Salem announced the retirement of 24-year veteran Pat Ryan, General Manager of the Boston cluster. Salem Regional Vice President, Jeff Reisman, commented, “Pat has a strong passion for Salem’s mission; her contribution over the years has been great, and we wish Pat well on her new adventures.”
