KCBI/Dallas is adding a new signal just south of the Dallas-Ft Worth Metroplex that covers the Waco-Temple area of Central Texas. KCBI’s DFW format will be recrafted for KRMX/Waco likely to launch in mid-summer of 2024. KRMX is being sold to First Dallas Media by M&M Broadcasters.
“This is a dream we’ve been working on for about five years,” said KCBI General Manager Matt Austin, Vice President of Operations at First Dallas Media. “God has opened a door for a powerful new radio station which will extend KCBI’s reach to over 560,000 people with Encouraging Music and Words of Hope found only in the Bible.”
“It’s our prayer that the Lord uses the station to strengthen listeners’ faith everywhere they live, work, play and worship,” said Matt. “As we face challenges and uncertainties in a broken world, there’s no more opportune time than now to expand beyond our current reach, building up many communities to be firmly rooted in God’s Word.”

Trans World Radio (TWR) is offering the audio program Grieving at Christmas again this year. TWR360 staffer Jim Hill added the program in 2020 to A TWR Christmas Collection on the TWR360 app and website.
Hill knows that many people are dealing with fresh grief each year as Christmas nears. Others may feel sorrowful every year because of memories of losing a loved one around Christmas. They may feel a sense of guilt that they are unable to join in the celebratory feeling of the season.
Hill, who has had his had his own losses says, “I think people need the help of someone else saying, ‘Hey, it’s OK to grieve at Christmas and give yourself permission to grieve at Christmas and not feel guilty.”
TWR’s Andy Napier later recorded Hill sharing his thoughts in the studio and then added a musical background. It comes across not as professional counseling, but as a caring friend sharing his hurts with another. Hill said he wants people “not to feel like I’ve got to be singing ‘Joy to the World’ when, you know, ‘Silent Night’ is probably my thing right now.”
Grieving at Christmas, and the rest of A TWR Christmas Collection, can be found at TWR360.org. Offered in more than a hundred languages, TWR360 is the portal for a multitude of Christian ministries, with access to Scriptures, topical studies, worship music, and programs aimed toward men and women, teenagers and children.
