KNWI/Des Moines (Life 107.1) achived it’s very first #1 ranking this month in the monthly Nielsen ratings.

The Hibbard Group is pleased to announce that Lee Ann Jackson will join the agency as Senior Media Strategist, effective October 1.
Jackson brings four decades of experience in Christian media, broadcasting, audience engagement, and strategic communications. Throughout her career, she has helped ministries, radio networks, and Christian broadcasters strengthen relationships with audiences, expand their reach, and navigate the evolving media landscape. Most recently, Jackson served for 35 years with Ambassador Advertising Agency.
In her new role, Jackson will collaborate with The Hibbard Group’s clients and team members in the areas of media strategy, ministry partnerships, audience development, station relations, digital engagement, social media strategy, and client support. She will also help identify new opportunities for growth and effectiveness as ministries adapt to changing media habits and emerging platforms.

Former KSBJ/Houston evening host Taylor Mills is back. Taylor will be helping with on air duties for the KSBJ Fall soupport drive that started today. She also covered for David Harms on Worship 24/7 mornings while he was out this week.

K-LOVE finally went on the air in the Charlotte market at 95.1 WNKS around 7:30 PM ET Wednesday night. According to a listener the change happened in the middle of Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You”.
K-LOVE Inc. acquired WNKS in a two staion deal with Beasly worth its $8 million. The deal also included KXTE/Las Vegas (107.5).
WNKS is a 100kw Class C station with a wide-reaching signal extending beyond the Charlotte market into portions of South Carolina and western North Carolina.

NAB has opened nominations for its 2027 Crystal Radio Awards, which recognize radio stations for their service to local communities.
Member stations have until October 31 to enter. Fifty stations will be named finalists in February, with 10 ultimately receiving Crystal Awards.
The winners will be honored March 2 during NAB’s State Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.

Matthew West was named ASCAP Christian Music Songwriter of the Year at the 47th annual ASCAP Christian Music Awards held Sept. 29 in Nashville. This is the sixth ASCAP Christian Music Songwriter of the Year honor for West, whose most-performed songs are “Any More,” “Don’t Stop Praying,” “Heaven Changes Everything,” “Never,” “Running Home” and “Strong.” In 2023, West received the ASCAP Golden Note Award, which is given to artists who have achieved extraordinary career milestones.
