The NRB recognized Salem Media President of Broadcast Media Allen Power for his 50 years service. Power retired at the end of September. Power will continue serving Salem as a Senior Advisor. He began his career on June 15, 1976, and has spent the last 26 years helping lead Salem through a period of significant growth across radio, digital media, and content distribution. Power joined Salem in 2000 as the company’s first General Manager in Atlanta. He later served as Regional Vice President, Senior Vice President, and was named President of Broadcast Media in 2023.
Linnae Young succeeds Power as President of Broadcast Media while continuing to serve as Salem’s Chief Revenue Officer. In her expanded role, Young will oversee Salem’s broadcast operations while continuing to lead the company’s revenue strategy.

WLJW/Traverse City (Fuel FM) and WLJN/Traverse City Operations Mgr. & Morning Host DC Cavender announced his retirement today. DC says Friday 9/29 will be his last day on the air, DC has been with owners Goods News Media over 17 years and his broadcast career has spanned 50 years.
DC says his wife Jane, who has done Mid-days on FUEL FM & Afternoons on WLJN has also retired from her position as well. They both look forward to seeing what God has planned for them in the future.,
