As vice president of public policy, Anderson’s primary responsibility is to cultivate these relationships and represent NRB before government officials and agencies. Convoy of Hope is holding the Grand Opening of their new Regional Distribution Center in Emerson, GA (Atlanta) August 28th,
Convoy of Hope President Hal Donaldson says, “Our Regional Distribution Center for the Southeast will accelerate and equip Convoy’s future responses to Florida hurricane or a Gulf Coast flood. Each RDC will mean local communities are helped more effectively throughout the year.”
Convoy of Hope Senior Director of Radio Jared Mitchell tells HisAir, “Being located near Atlanta, GA will allow one-day access to Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. This geographic diversity will get food and resources into the hands of the local church and people more efficiently and effectively who have been impacted by disaster. We look forward to sharing this facility with Christian Radio, as we link arms to serve the hurting and the broken, and bring hope to the hopeless.”

Hope Media Group closed another WayFM office recently. Former WayFM staff came to town to say farewell to the original WayFM studios at WAYJ/Ft Myers.
HMG is in the process of streamlining operations. In March this year it was announced that, “Over the next two years, HMG is projected to expand its portfolio of offerings and bring at least 50 positions to its new, state of the art Houston headquarters funded by generous donors, with the capacity to hold more than 220 team members alone. This move celebrates HMG’s ultimate vision to streamline operations, go from nine national offices to two hubs, and strategically increase content to engage more listeners.”

HisAir INDUSTRY NEWS TIMELINE – July 28, 2016
TWR says they will upgrade its signal covering Cuba from 100,000 watts to 450,000 watts. The $3.8 million upgrade will enable the network to reach places in Cuba where people have not yet heard the gospel. The broadcast will also be heard in the Caribbean, parts of Latin America and South America.
Cubans have been restricted from learning about God, and local bookstores have been restricted from selling Bibles for more than 50 years
