BEC Recordings has signed GRAMMY®- nominated artist and songwriter Rhett Walker to their label family. Additionally, Walker’s first single with BEC, titled “Man on the Middle Cross,” is out and available on all digital platforms.

“I‘m incredibly excited for the opportunity to partner with Rhett Walker and his team,” shares Brandon Ebel, founder, president, and CEO of BEC Recordings/Tooth & Nail Records. “He’s a phenomenal artist and songwriter, and we can’t wait to see what doors God opens next for him.”

Walker adds, “It has been great to join the BEC Recordings team and immediately press the gas on creativity. I’m excited for the future as I look ahead at the road we’re paving.”

The Family Life Educational Foundation is selling two of its Christian radio stations in a combined deal. KFLO/Shreveport (Miracle 89.1) will be sold to the Educational Radio Foundation of East Texas. And, KSYR/Shreveport (The Light 92.1) will be acquired by Jet Schuler’s 6102 Seawall LLC. The entire deal is valued at $750,000.

Not included in the deal are the rights to the KFLO-FM call letters, intellectual property, employees of the stations, and the mineral rights at the properties.

After the transaction, the Family Life Educational Foundation will retain ownership of KFLO-FM simulcast on KMML/Minden, LA (90.9) and “90.7 The Promise” K214BE in Shreveport.

WHPZ/South Bend (Pulse FM) gifted over 40 local students with brand new, custom fitted sneakers for this next school year. Parents activated their kid’s names for an entry. And they could also turn in report cards and every “A” was a bonus entry. Student Isaiah (pictured) is 1 of 5 siblings and has never had proper fitted shoes because one foot is bigger than the other.

WHPZ PD Corey Mann says, “Up next, Teachers Supplies Surprise, rewarding local teachers with $250 each making sure their classroom is stocked with whatever is needed.”
