KGGN/Hemet, CA (102.5 The Vine) will host “The $25,000 Gift Card Challenge” during April. The Vine is asking for 1000 listeners to provide one $25 gift card that will be given to one of two amazing local causes.
“We have held wildly successful community drives in the past, but this theme is a first for us,” says Chris Thompson, General Manager of 102.5 The Vine. “I was told a few weeks ago that the ask is way too big and that the chances for failure are high,” Thompson continued. “I then had to explain that the listeners of 102.5 The Vine are some of the most giving people in California.”
Through their nonprofit partner “Reach,” gift cards for food, gas, and clothing will support local survivors of human trafficking. Through Birthchoice, a Pregnancy Resource Center, gift for gas, Uber, or Lyft will help families make it to medical appointments.
“We have eight Donation Drop Off Live Remote Broadcast stops planned for April, and we’re asking churches, small groups, mom’s groups, and even softball teams to join in and pull together,” Thompson says. “It’s a big goal, and it’s out of our hands. We are simply the conduit for His blessings.”
