As is it’s usual tradition, WAKW/Cincinnati (Star 93.3) has flipped the switch to ALL Christmas on Oct 31st. As far as we know, It’s the first radio station broadcasting the sounds of the season this year. Why start playing Christmas music so early? According to the WAKW website – “We believe Christmas is the most joyful time of the year!”

The UCB Radio Canadian Radio Network listeners gave over $300,000 during their four-day pledge drive. The team just finished a 4-day Pledge Drive.  In addition, the network is celebrating a partnership with Food Banks Canada and Mackay Insurance, who helped release 23,000 meals during the event to help combat food insecurity nationwide!

“We are so incredibly grateful for the generosity of so many people,” says UCB CEO James Hunt. “With the economic climate affecting us all, people dug deep to get behind their UCB Radio station. We get so moved by the stories and testimonies shared, stories of some very difficult situations, and then to see the number of people who choose to partner with UCB Radio to see Canada reached with the message of hope is so humbling. I think this highlights the increased needs people are facing.”
