UPDATE: WBDX/Chattanooga (J103) President Justin Wade tells HisAir, We are back up with 103.1, but 102.7 is off until we can get some equipment shipped here and installed. Looking like we might be back on by Wednesday or Thursday.”
The WDBX main tower (102.7) was affected a fire that began Saturday morning knocking the station off the air.
WGTS/Wash DC recently hosted two shows with artist Zach Williams. In September, over 2,000 listeners gathered at the Great Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, Md. to hear Williams and new artist Brennley Brown. A couple of weeks later, WGTS welcomed Williams back to the historic Lincoln Theater in the heart of the U Street Corridor of Washington, D.C. A sold-out crowd enjoyed hits from “Chain Breaker” to Williams’ latest, “Sunday’s Coming.”
In a metropolitan region as large as D.C., it can be a two or three-hour drive to get to a show,” said WGTS 91.9 morning show host and marketing director Jerry Woods. “We love it when we can have more than one show so more listeners can experience it.”
