The Shine.FM/Chicago network recently began a partnership with Bible League International on a new initiative called The Truth Mission. After a recent conversation with a listener and hearing his story of how he came to Jesus, a fire ignited in the hearts of the Shine team. As a young man, he had listened to Christian radio for over a year before he made the life-changing decision to surrender to Jesus and begin a relationship with Him. It changed the course of his life, his family, and generations to come.
Shine.FM GM Brian McIntyre says, “When you envision someone finding Shine.FM on the radio, we want to get The Truth into that listeners hands as quickly as possible. Shine.FM is partnering with Bible League International to deliver God’s Word into the hands of that life that is searching for The Truth. The Truth Mission allows listeners to text in “TRUTH” to request God’s Word and select resources to help them in their faith journey. Shine.FM is excited to continue to be a vessel to help each person continue to grow closer to Jesus.”

KGBI/Omaha has introduced The KGBI Spring Cleaning Playlist. It’s full of upbeat songs you hear on 100.7 KGBI but…it’s not like other playlists. This one’s a little shorter. In fact, it’s a song-clip mashup puzzle that you need to solve. Morning hosts Jill & Jeremy play The KGBI Spring Cleaning Playlist at 7:45 am, then Bruce Otto will gives listeners another chance to hear it each day at 5:10 pm during the Afternoon Unwind. Listeners try to identify the title and artist of each song in order, then submit guesses.
Everyone who submits a correct guess of all nine songs (title & artist) in order will be in the running to win a professional, whole-house deep-clean service worth $500. The winner will be announced on KGBI Friday, March 12 at 5:10 pm during the Afternoon Unwind with Bruce Otto.
