KNWI/Des Moines (Life 107.1) listeners helped fight hunger in their community by donating food and hygiene items to Caring Hands Food Pantry at the We Are Messengers concert on Saturday, Sept. 23. Together, listeners donated nearly 700 pounds of food and more than 200 pounds of soap and hygiene items to serve those in need.
“Food insecurity is at an all-time high here in central Iowa, and wonderful pantries like Caring Hands are fighting it on the front lines,” said Life 107.1 Morning Show Host and Listener Engagement Director Jen Green. “It’s so gratifying to see our Life 107.1 listeners help them so generously every time we put out the call for #NoHungerCentralIowa!”
