Family Life Radio (FLR) is expected to go live on its new acquisition WDRQ/Detroit (93.1) this coming week. FLR held a “Hope for Detroit” project Friday, raising money to promote the brand new FLR FM station in the Motor City! The station will reach a potential 5 million people.

“We are looking forward to bringing the message of hope in Christ to the Detroit community through a new and improved, high-quality signal,” said Evan Carlson, chief executive officer for FLR.

FLR reaches 80% of the population in Michigan through their already existing signals in Albion (96.7FM), Battle Creek (101.1 FM and AM 1400), Lansing (99.9 FM), Mason (AM 1110) and Midland (99.7 FM).

TWR broadcasts on KTWR/Guam are back on the air. A super typhoon smashed into Guam in May damaging all five KTWR antennas. Mawar unleashed its fury on the Western Pacific island, leaving behind a trail of extensive destruction. As a result, TWR’s shortwave station faced significant damage, impeding the transmission of gospel programs to regions including China, North Korea, Indonesia, and other parts of Asia.

“It is such a relief that KTWR will be resuming its full broadcast load on Saturday,” Mike Sabin, broadcast technical operations director for Asia, said recently. “Even so, there is still a lot of work to be done with the transmitters and antennas. It will take months for all of that to be worked out.”

“The broadcast on KTWR has finally returned. I feel so happy! I can listen to the programs on our radio station again every night.”
