Encouragement Media Group Expands To Louisiana
Tyler, TX based Encouragement Media Group (EMG) announces the additions of KFLO/Shreveport (89.1) and KSYR/Shreveport (92.1).
KFLO will re-broadcast KVNE/Tyler programming.
Bill Bumpas, VP of Programming for Encouragement Media Group (EMG) shared, “KVNE has been shining the light of Jesus for 40 years in East Texas and we are so excited that God has opened a door for us to be in Shreveport to provide encouragement and point more people to Jesus!”
KSYR will offer Fuzión, EMG’s Spanish Christian music format.
Brenda Aguila, EMG Director of Spanish Ministries says, “I’m beyond excited about this opportunity that God is giving us to expand our reach to the Hispanic community through Fuzión in Shreveport. We are looking forward to sharing encouragement and hope with Hispanic families while pointing them to Jesus in our ‘heart language.’”
The Family Life Educational Foundation sold the two stations in a combined deal to Educational Radio Foundation of East Texas.
KFLO formerly know as Miracle 89.1 and KSYR/Shreveport (The Light 92.1) were sold in a deal valued at $750,000.
Not included in the deal are the rights to the KFLO-FM call letters, intellectual property, employees of the stations, and the mineral rights at the properties.
Celebrating 40 years of ministry as a 501(c)3, Encouragement Media Group has served East Texas since 1983 with Christian music that encourages a deeper walk with Jesus Christ. The Encouragement Media Group mission is to glorify God by encouraging people, connecting our community and pointing people to Jesus Christ.
Along with KVNE and Fuzión, Encouragement Media Group (EMG) also includes worship station Lift Worship, and a Bible teaching station called The Well, both in East Texas. Additionally, EMG offers Modo Vida, a digital Bible teaching format in Spanish, and Evergreen, a digital Christmas station. With the move, Encouragement Media Group will be heard on 9 signals, and through the free Fuzión Radio app and the free Encouragement Media Group app.
