After nearly 25 years of  service at Fair Trade Sr VP Marketing & Promotions Dan Michaels is stepping away. Michaels joined Fair Trade in Oct 2000, when the company was still known as INO Records. Previously he was director of marketing at Benson Music Group from 1995-1999.

Michaels is also known in the industry as saxophonist in the GRAMMY®-nominated and Dove award winning alternative band The Choir.

Fair Trade Senior Director National Promotion Kai Elmer told HisAir, “After nearly 25 years of incredible service at Fair Trade, the legendary Dan Michaels is starting a new chapter. It’s tough to sum up how important he has been to our artists, company, and partners over the years. He wouldn’t want us to make a big fuss, but simply put, we wouldn’t be here today without him. His leadership, wisdom, and sense of humor have profoundly impacted us and so many others in our industry – and we are all better because of his influence in our lives. We wish you all the best in this new season ahead, and are forever grateful for the contributions you have made. We will miss the candy dish in your office, but we’ll miss you even more. THANK YOU!”

KAMB/Merced, CA (Celebration Radio) afternoon host Mark Murdock is doing his final shift today (6/28). Murdock, after 44 years at the station, is retiring.

Mike told HisAir, “I wanted to devote more time to teaching God’s word, to writing, to spending time with family and friends and to wood carving and other hobbies. One aspect was also feeling that the time had come to step aside and give opportunity to someone younger who might be more relatable to a younger radio audience (if such a person exists!). I’ve been greatly privileged and blessed to have served at KAMB for these 44 years, and will miss my co-workers, friends and listeners!
