Joshua Smith’s Yankee Kingdom Media Corp. is set to purchase WYKR/Haverhill, NH, and Christian 1100 WTWN/Wells River, VT (105.1) W286DE from Puffer Broadcasting for a sum of $125,000.
Salt and Light Media Ministries expands its presence in Williamsport, PA by acquiring 92.7 W224AI Loyalsock from Maximum Impact Communications for $50,000. With this purchase, Salt and Light Media Ministries will introduce a third signal in the area. W224AI will rebroadcast the buyer’s “WGRC” network, which originates from 90.7 WCRG/Williamsport, in conjunction with 107.1 W296AP Williamsport.
Capitalizing on the momentum of their re-launch in January, HLE Records announces the release of the new single by two-time ICM Songwriter Of The Year Nominee Randy Finchum. Randy has previously had songs recorded by Sammy Kershaw, Steve Roberson, TK Brown, Suzzette Michaels and Hunter Logan. The song, “Jesus People” was co-written by Randy along with two other songwriters most noted for their music in TV and film, David Graham (Breaking Bad) and Kurt Eger (Girl Meets Farm).
Says Finchum about the song: “It’s a motivator and a call to action for us Christians in these crazy times. God saw these days coming, and He created us for times just like these. It’s going to take Jesus followers like you and me to be the light to a lost world.” The song is now available to Christian Country radio as of May 24th and available for download on May 29th. NRB 2023 wrapped up Thursday in Orlando. Over 4200 attended the largest annual gathering of Christian communicators and four full days of networking, collaborating, and learning. NRB’s 80th anniversary takes place at NRB 2024 February 20-24, in Nashville.
