WNFR/Sanduskey, MI (Hope FM) held a successful “Firm Foundation” Spring Fundraiser raising 115% of their goal.   After meeting their need, the station was excited to share with listeners about the purchase of 98.9 FM serving the Bay Area of Michigan, including Flint, Bay City and Saginaw.  The money raised above the goal will go directly to that project..

Station manager, Brian Smith said. “Once again, completely blown away at how God moved this week and how generous our listening family is. It was evidence of great teamwork throughout the year, loving on our community during difficult times. Huge thanks to Jack Eason with The Heart Share Group and also Todd Stach with Beyond 615 coaching. Our team is looking forward to wrapping our arms around new communities with our expansion into the bay region!”

The station is planning for a late spring/early summer launch for 98.9 FM.

Curb Word artists for KING + COUNTRY (brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone) drop their “The Inspired By Soundtrack” album today for their family biopic film, “UNSUNG HERO.”  The film stars Joel Smallbone; he also co-wrote the film, and it is his directorial debut.

“The Inspired By Soundtrack” also includes recently released singles, “Place In This World” feat. Michael W. Smith; “Checking In” with Lee Brice; “To Hell With The Devil (RISE)” feat. Lecrae & Stryper; “Lead Me On” feat. Amy Grant; and much more. It also features the title track of the film, “Unsung Hero,” from their current Grammy® nominated and AMA, Billboard and Dove award-winning album, “What Are We Waiting For?”

“American Idol” is planning to honor the late Mandisa, who was a contestant on the series in the early 2000s, in an episode slated to air Monday.

“Mandisa was an adored icon on American Idol and in the music industry,” the show said in a statement. “She had become a platinum-selling artist and had won several Grammys for her music. Her passing has left everyone on the show heartbroken, and we extend our deepest condolences to her family.”

The Sound of Life Radio Network reports its 93.7 FM frequency covering Newburgh/Beacon, NY is temptatarily of the air. A piece of equipment that was damaged in a recent storm is the problem and engineers are working o replace it.

Angel Studios announces Fair Trade artist Colton Dixon has released the title track for the upcoming feature film SIGHT. “Rest of My Life (From the Original Motion Picture SIGHT)” available today on all major music platforms.

“When I first heard “Rest of My Life”, I instantly knew it was a fit for the film’s epilogue,” shares Ryan Svendsen, Angel Studios Head of Music. “It is extremely rare for the spirit and lyrics of a song to be an uncanny match for a scene but the stars aligned beautifully with Colton’s track for SIGHT. HisAir NEWS FLASHBACK – April 26 2023 – Christian Classic Hits station “Classic HIS Radio” has been launched by Radio Training Network on WHRT/Cokesbury/Greenwood (91.9) and W209CM/Simpsonville/Greenville (89.7) which are being transmitted via 89.3 WLFJ-HD4/Greenville. Previously, the signals had aired Christian Preaching “HIS Radio Talk” until the beginning of this month.
