Bethany Miller has been promoted to Director of Communications at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB).
Bethany says, “I along with my exceptional team stand ready on the frontlines of the Information War as we continue to advocate for faith-based media and fight for First Freedoms. Here’s to a new era of NRB and to the future of Christian media.”
Miller was previously NRB Senior Communications Strategist and joined NRB in May 2021 as an intern.
Cody Peterson joins the team at WCSG/Grand Rapids taking the new role of Prospect Development Associate.
Cody says, “I’ll be honest, walking in and meeting the radio hosts for the first time felt like meeting celebrities. But what surprised me most is how kind and welcoming every single person here has been, from the on-air talent to the whole team behind the scenes. I also didn’t realize how much technology and coordination it takes to run a station like WCSG. These first two weeks have been incredible, and I can’t wait to keep learning.”

Idaho based Today’s Christian Country was named Station of the Year for the second consecutive year at the 30th annual Inspirational Country Music Association Awards at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
“This honor reflects the heart of our mission — to serve our communities with uplifting music, meaningful programming and a commitment to faith-based outreach,” said Lee Lancaster, president and station manager.
Today’s Christian Country serves listeners in North Idaho through KYMS/Rathdrum, ID (89.9 FM). Nine stations were nominated in the Station of the Year category.
The ICMA award for radio personality of the year was WRUS/Russellville, KY on air talent & Heaven’s Country host Marty Smith.
I want to thank everyone for the phone calls and text messages congratulating me for winning the ICM Radio Personality of the Year award. I truly did not expect it and am very humbled to even be nominated in that category. I’ve been blessed to be part of that historic group of people that started this genre of Christian Country music all those years ago and I’m so thankful the Lord still lets me do this after 35 years in the industry. Tasha Layton has joined forces with Ben Fuller to release a powerful new version of her song “Meet Me In The Valley.” The track first appeared on her latest album Life In Me, but this collaboration brings a fresh perspective to the deeply personal anthem.
“I’m so thankful to be releasing ‘Meet Me In The Valley’ with my friend Ben Fuller,” Layton shared. “Ben and I both understand valleys because of what we’ve walked through in life. My prayer is that listeners hear our testimonies in our voices.”

Former KLTY/Dallas morning personality Bonnie Curry has joined mainstream country KPLX/Dallas (99.5 The Wolf) to host a Sunday Christian music show. Country Crossroads airs Sunday mornings 8-10am featuring two hours of worship, praise and inspiration. The new show will kick off Easter morning.
Bonnie says, “It’s 2 hours of worship, encouragement and all the love I can pour out on North Texas!”

CRISTA Media, part of the CRISTA family of ministries, has announced appointments for three different current leaders to help form a new operational leadership structure for its stations in KCMS/Seattle (SPIRIT 105.3), KCIS/Seattle (AM 630) and KWPZ/Bellingham (PRAISE 106.5).
Channah Hanberg (at left), a 13-year veteran of CRISTA Media, will step into a newly-created Market Manager/General Manager role, effective today. As Market Manager/GM, Hanberg will oversee day-to-day operations for the three over-the-air stations, as well as CRISTA Media’s various digital platforms. General Sales Manager duties previously held by Hanberg will transition to Amanda Schneider, who had most recently been serving as Local Sales Manager for CRISTA Media’s two Seattle stations, KCMS SPIRIT 105.3 and KCIS 630. After 14 years of service at KWPZ PRAISE 106.5, Scott Brockett will now move into a Local Sales Manager role for the Contemporary Christian station serving listeners in northwest Washington and southern British Columbia.
