WCLQ/Wausau (89Q) morning co-host April Sather is heading to WAFJ/Augusta for morning co-host duties.
WCLQ GM Coy Sawyer says, “Her last day here is October 7. Quite an accomplishment for her. Hard for us to see her leave since she was a “home-grown” girl.” April stated at WCLQ as a part-time office manager and developed into a great on-air personality. WBGL/Champaign has found their new afternoon host. Eric Nichols (pictured at left) starts on the air September 25th. Eric replaces Randy & Monica Zachary who exited the station in June to take a position as Senior Pastor at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Coarsegold, CA. Previously Eric was on the air at WTGN/Lima, OH for over eight years. Eric tells HisAir.Net, “I’m incredibly excited and humbled to be part of the WBGL family.”

The GMA is launching a new program – the GMA Academy. The goal is to connect college students with the music industry. One of the initial benefits to the industry is the opportunity to promote jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities to a wider audience of interested candidates.
