KLTY/Dallas morning show members Starlene Stringer & Frank Reed have received nominations to the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. The Induction celebration at the Texas Museum of Broadcasting and Communications in Kilgore will be held on Saturday, November 3rd.
Family Life Radio/Tuscon air personality Julia Taylor has exited.
WFCJ/Dayton (The Source) air personality Kelly St. James (pictured at left) rode in the 11th Annual American Cancer Society “Pan Ohio Hope Ride”. Kelly started her four-day ride in Cincinnati and ended in Cleveland completing 333 miles. The WFCJ Staff were able to go out and cheer Kelly on! Kelly, an avid rider, rode with passion and purpose in support of a friend diagnosed with Leukemia one year ago. Currently, Kelly’s friend is now cancer free. Kelly also rode 530 miles during another event from Cincinnati to Niagara Falls – completing over 1,000 miles in the month of July!
Laufou o le Talalelei, a Christian radio station operated by Youth For Christ (Y.F.C.) in the American Samoa celebrates its third anniversary. Pastor Talomua Nonu of Mulinu’u said the Laufou o le Talalelei helps connect the Gospel to Samoa. “Let this radio station be the number one station in Samoa,” he said. “Our broadcasting is not entertainment, but it is the proclamations of the good news of God. So every opportunity we have on air make sure the opportunity is put into good use.”
