PAR station Joy FM and Energize Ministries joined forces on August 3, to promote Christian unity and pastoral care as part of Energize Ministries’ “Energize the Ballpark” event. The faith-focused and family-friendly gathering featured a Winston-Salem Dash baseball game in the afternoon followed by an evening concert with 2019 Grammy Award-winning Gospel artist Jason Crabb. All festivities took place inside BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem, NC. An energized crowd of 6,233 were in attendance—a record for the annual event.

Using hashtags #5000Strong and #BeTheOne, Joy FM promoted the day as an opportunity for all of God’s people to come together in Christian unity. The campaign connected in a big way, turning out 1,233 more people than anticipated.

“The Southern Gospel genre is picking up new listeners every day, including Millennials,” said Daniel Britt, General Manager, Joy FM. “Energize Ministries’ choice of Jason Crabb as this year’s featured artist was brilliant. Jason has a distinct Gospel pedigree as well as a broad and diverse fan base that crosses over extremely well. He is a strong Christian voice and a natural unifier—exactly what we wanted to bring to this event.”
