WEMI/Appleton (The Family) APD Caleb Williams has exited. Caleb who joined WEMI in 2018 announced he is launching an internet based station “Clear Hits Radio” that will program Christian Hip Hop.  Caleb told HisAir, “God used Christian Hip Hop to save me” Williams said, “And I believe that God created this genre to reach a generation looking for music that reflects their lives, thoughts and struggles. I believe that there is no other genre out there that highlights that, and the hope there is in Jesus, better than Christian Hip Hop.”   The new station will launch Aug 10th at Clearhitsgb.com. Caleb says the station will focus on sharing the hope of Jesus through artists like Lecrae, NF, KB and Social Club Misfits.


Salem Radio Network’s host Larry Elder has officially been nominated for induction into the Radio Hall of Fame for 2020. There are 24 nominees in six categories. Larry was nominated in the category of Active Network Syndication, along with three other national hosts. Larry’s program airs weekdays 3pm to 6pm PT on over 350 affiliates across the country.

“Larry has proven to be one of the true super stars in talk radio. Listeners love his take-no-prisoners attitude,” said Salem Senior VP of Spoken Word, Phil Boyce. “Larry is a consummate pro, a true entertainer, and packs a ton of information into every show. He is very deserving of this honor.”

Larry’s nomination will be voted on by over 600 radio professionals across the country, and the winner will be announced in August.


KHVN/Dallas has added the nationally syndicated Marvin Sapp Radio Show. The show will air from 5-7pm daily.

“KHVN has been the area’s Gospel music mainstay for decades. It is an honor to be a part of the KHVN family and serve the Dallas metroplex with music and inspiration from my point of view,” says Sapp. The show is distributed in partnership with Superadio.


All JUNE PPM numbers are in. The JUNE highlights included:

KLTY/Dallas is back on top. KLTY scored a 6.1 AQH p6+ placing the station back at #1 where it was positioned in the May 2020 PPM.

KSOS/Las Vegas (SOS Radio) jumped to #3 overall in the market AQH trending 4.5-5.0. SOS Radio PD Scott Herrold told HisAir, “Our Sos teammates have been content machines these last few months. God’s been moving in a profound way!”

KLJY (Joy FM) ranked #3 with 6.3 and WCIE/Tampa (THE JOY FM) scored a 6.0 good for #2 in the market overall..
