news-iconSorry to report the passing of former Moody Radio/Chicago news anchor Dave Mitchell who was killed in a in a single car crash on Sunday, April 3  The following is a statement from vice president of Moody Radio, Collin Lambert, regarding Mitchell’s passing. 

“My heart is heavy today at the news. Dave was the consummate news man—award-winning, truly professional, beyond knowledgeable. He loved Chicago, loved his family and loved his Lord. He was a valued member of our team for over a decade. Dave will truly be missed.” Mitchell served with Moody Radio for more than a decade, most recently as news director until November 2013. For more information about this developing story, please reference the Chicago Tribune’s article.

Eligibility dates for the CMB Station of the Year Awards are May 1, 2015 – April 30, 2016.  Open submission on CMB’s website is from May 1 through June 3, 2016. Stations will be judged on five categories: on-air presentation, community service, ratings, new media, and industry leadership. Entries will be rated by radio professionals primarily outside of the Christian music industry. One award is given in each of the four market categories – Major, Large, Medium and Small.

Christian Music Broadcasters will present the Station of the Year Awards at Momentum 2016 during the CMB Awards Dinner on September 7th at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Convention Center in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
