KWFC/Springfield, MO celebrates its 50th Anniversary on the air tomorrow. KWFC first went on the air in 1969 from the Baptist Bible College Campus. Radio Training Network (RTN) purchased KWFC in 2015. The station adopted the Southern Gospel format in the 1980s and was named 2013 Southern Gospel Radio Station of the Year by the Southern Gospel Music Guild.

KWFC’s Matt Paasch tells HisAir.Net, “God has blessed KWFC Radio in allowing us to share the gospel to the Ozarks for 50 years. We are thankful for the continued support of our listeners and we hope to stay strong for many more.”


WPZE/Atlanta (Praise 102.5 FM) has been named the Major Market Gospel Station of the Year at the 34th Annual Stellar Awards. This is the 4th time WPZE has won this award. In addition WPZE personality Dwight Stone was recognized as Gospel Announcer of the year. The Stellar Awards honor music artists, writers, and industry professionals for their contributions to the Gospel Music industry. The Stellar Awards’ online fan voting campaign allows listeners to vote for their favorite station.


Salem Radio Network and Salem Music Network announce they will be upgrading their Christian programming platform from satellite to IP (internet) in mid-2019 to the XDS platform. The satellite receiver will be replaced and upgraded to an XDS Pro receiver that will be fed completely from the internet (IP). With the new system weather interference (sun outage/rain fade) is eliminated. The XDS Pro receiver platform give stations greater control over their programming and will integrate fully with stations’ local automation systems with a simple web connection.


At Salem’s WNYM/New York (AM 970 The Answer) morning host Joe Piscopo broadcast his radio show live from the Liberty University campus on Friday morning. Piscopo interviewd Liberty President Jerry Falwell and School of Business Dean and former U.S. Congressman David Brat. read the story here.
