Industry News Bits 2-16-18

Troy West has been appointed Interim Program Director at KSBJ/Houston. KSBJ PD Ty McFarland announced last week he will exit the station and head to the PD chair at KCMS/Seattle (Spirit 105.3) next month.

Also at KSBJ, Jordan Smith has stepped into the Director of Promotions and Marketing position. Replacing Kacey Smith who has left the station.

WBGL/Champaign Community Engagement Manager, Emma Villanueva is leaving on April 30th to pursue her Master’s Degree. The station is searching for a new Community Engagement Manager. Check here for the job listing. 

KCBI/Dallas Creative Services Director Bernie McPartland has retired from the station. KCBI need a new  Creative Services Director asap. Go here for the job listing. 

WHKT/Hampton Roads (AM 1650) has flipped from conservative talk to Christian music. Owners Chesapeake-Portsmouth Broadcasting Corporation, say the station wasn’t generating enough revenue.
